Stopping for some Gelato and a little puppy

The thing about White Rock is it has train tracks...

Stephen saw the train tracks and was quite excited. "Choo, choo, choo!" He could see it getting closer and got quite scared when it tooted its horn. It was loud and big. He still loves trains, so that's a good thing but I don't think he'll be so close to one for a while.

An afternoon at White Rock

The umbrella stroller was nice because it is smaller but not nice because Stephen loves to push it even more than our regular stroller. In and out, bang into the wall....
After living here for 1 1/2 years, we finally made it to White Rock. It is a white rock, as you can see in the picture.
Can you see Mt. Baker in the distance?

The weekend in Vernon

As some of you know, Pake and Beppe (Janice's parents) came to visit us last Tuesday. We had a great time with them. We went to Vernon with them to play tourist. Stephen's favourite part of the hotel was the pool. He loved to go swimming in his new swimsuit with flotation aids in it. Thanks Beppe for it! He loved climbing out of the pool on the ladder and jumping back in. His other favourite thing to do was to get out of the pool, gett into the hot tub, getting out of the hot tub and back into the pool.
Stephen slept great both nights in his own queen size bed!
We visited a cheese factory and Stephen sampled some goat cheese and didn't react to it! Yeah! Now we know he's okay with goat milk/cheese. One more thing to add the "Stephen can eat" list.

At the "new" park with Pake

Tired, oh so tired!

Two Sundays ago we went to the Fama's for a yummy lunch. Since it was so sunny, we went outside and played all afternoon. This is Stephen after coming out of his carseat and being "woken" up. He was soo tired that he slept on the floor.

SUNSHINE!

After having snow last week, we have had sunshine for the past two days! We spent all of yesterday afternoon outside in the sun with the Famas. Stephen played with balls all afternoon. He went without a nap until he got in the car. We brought him in the house and he wouldn't wake up! He hasn't done that since he was really little!! Needless to say, he slept well last night.
This morning, Stephen had his first swimming lesson. It was Mommy's first in a LONG time too! He wouldn't walk by himself in the water until after the lesson was over. He also was not keen on floating on his tummy. After the lesson was over, he played on the slide and would walk around in tummy deep water by himself. Hopefully after 10 weeks he will be more comfortable in the water. We decided to get him accustomed to water just in case we end up some where tropical!!

Stephen and the snow...definitely not friends

Stephen did NOT want to go outside to play in the snow. He did NOT like getting snow in his face or on his hands. He also did NOT like having snow on his boots and not being able to "write, write" on the driveway. I think we might have a problem next winter!!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....

After weeding in January, it was quite strange to see snow yesterday morning! Stranger yet was that it stayed on the ground!! What is going on with our weather?

Vancouver Symphony Orchestra

This is the best (yes, I know its not great) picture of us at the VSO. We enjoyed the symphony a lot. As it turns out, it was Jono's first time!! He also illegally took a picture of the stage!

Hockey anyone?

Cool Dude!
